^^^Went to a new home.

alright so its time for another update.

So after the last post I started to strip the dash out of high hopes.

I took the dash and center console out and the full chassis harness out in order to cut out any unnecessary wires.

As I'm setting here I decided the hell with this its time to get something that I know will work after I install it and it should make for an easy job.

A Painless Race car kit and cut off switch

Its very important to me to get my HUD up and running in the car. Its just something I must do. So I cut up the chassis harness in order to make sure I had all the wires going into the unit

Some parts also came in.
Godspeed rad. I'm not really down with cheap parts but I got it for a good price. I hope it says together.

And 850cc injectors. I was thinking about going 1200cc and doing E85 but I might travel for a few events and having to carry all my fuel with me would suck.

So parts I had laying around that I wanted to put on the car finally made it no. DW spacers, S14 tein inners and SPl outers.

installed

When High Hopes left. I got these 50mm hatch fenders for trade with my old coupe fenders.

I also moved over the fuel pump and gave it some extra zip ties to hold it secure.

DDS had some S14 LCAs laying around so I decide to press the ball joints out of them and get a new set from rockauto

And I decide that I need to take off the bump stop so hear I am grinding away at the left arm.

Sadly I ever took pics of the motor apart but it was mint inside. I'll pressure wash it once it gets back to the house. Work done on the inside is limited to PE 1.1mm headgasket, ARP headstuds, S14 oil pickup, and Greddy oil pan

Tonight I mounted the painless switch panel and fuse box as well as the Greddy gauges. The fuse box location might seem tacky but I wanted my crew chief to have quick access to a fuse just in case when have to call 5 min for a electrical problem.

I'm tired, I'm headed to bed.

Yeah I wrote that while half asleep. Basically if a fuse blows during the event I want my crew to have easy access to find and fix the problem, especially if its during a 5 min fix it or loose the battle situation.

i get that part and its a novel idea. but do you really need a "crew" for pro-am?

if you wire the car correctly, i would suspect electrical problems will not be an issue.
you should be fine, it will be other stuff that will break.

this car will be cool when done, but it appears it will far exceed what is necessary to run and be successful in the series for which this car is intended.

Agreed, a lot of this car is overkill for ProAm. I understand that however I'm looking forward into the future and I hate buying things twice. If I bought some other knuckle for 300 I would sell it next year for DW knuckles for the Pro car.  I'm not saying I'm going to make it however I want to be prepared to just move parts over.

As for the "crew", depends on how serious a program is in order to pass judgment on if they are needed. I'm my case I want this year to show what our team can offer to next years sponsors. So carrying ourselves as professionals and people that are dedicated to the sport will give us the upper hand when It comes to sponsorship potential.

ProAm is a spring board. If I was building a car to mash around in and do practice events if would be no where near this car however I want to compete and drive well. I'm just giving myself the best chance of success.

i know. i know.
I used to have a very different thought process and list of priorities than i do now.
Drifting just isnt high on the list anymore. I'd rather have a solid career, house, etc.
Big kid stuff.

btw, paint was PPG not HOK.
My car even after being painted has seen track time.. and blown up in the process.
dont hate <3

as for Rob, i was really just hoping to see you keep it simple and be successful as a result.
either way, should be good i suppose. just dont get hung up on going pro, enjoy the other things.

Big kid stuff? Like hopping online and shooting ones work down after witnessing them drop XXX amount of dollars, and spend countless hours to build their car?

I just don't see the point in your every post on here degrading some one in some form... It gets old hopping online to see everyone killing it with progress, and you're the dude sitting on the sidelines telling everyone how gay they are... lol i say that not trying to be an asshole, just trying to get you to review your last 20 posts, and maybe consider that i'm correct in what i've said thus far...
