Update:
Pistons FINALLY arrived in phoenix. Bearings,H.Gasket,Pistons, and rings are all on their way finally!!!
Finally got off my ass and had some time to start getting things back together. Supercleaned and pressure washed engine bay, i didnt care for the flat black, so decided to go semi-gloss. I start painting and am amazed to see this isnt semi-gloss lol, its gloss black. All 3 cans said semi-gloss, but u be the judge lol. Im not happy with the paint, gloss is so hard to make look good, ill eventually re-paint everything for the rebuild next year.
BEFORE

AFTER-Does that look like semi-gloss? lol

Did some minor work today of getting the catch can, surge tank ,overflow tank, and a few other things back into the motor bay...Eating some grub right now and letting it cool down. Cleaning body panels today for paint, and have a little paint booth setup in the garage lol, so hopefully i can get front bumper, side skirts, and hood painted today..More pics to come tonight!!!  back to work

Few more updates, finished painting.......Fenders, front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper.
The rest of the car will be painted  when i have another day off.
I have to admit, im impressed with the outcome of this considering it was done with a rattle can..
Threw a few parts on justt to get them out of the way for now

DONT HATE ON THE GHETTO PAINT BOOTH LOL

just a suggestion but you should have that front mount turned into a mid mount... not only does it shorting the tubes for a little better boost response it keeping the intercooler up and tucked back out of harms way.

Is a mid mount like a v-mount setup? Sorry for the newb question..I haven't had any time or $$ to change much to this car, there's tons about it I want to modify or finish that was never accomplished during the initial build..any pics of these midmounts?

Mid mount is like my car. :D  Right in front of the radiator fully behind the bumper on the front of the radiator core support.

Midmount is for those who want short piping, and no overheating :)

I still have a ton i want to do to this, ive been so wrapped up with just getting the motor right i havent taken any time to look at the things i want to change.
Non important things id like to do are install an AP1 or AP2 gauge cluster,
Do something about the interior, i havent liked the way it looks since ive gotten it, but it makes it hard to undo something that someone has done, without any knowledge of certain parts of the build.
Things i need to get done
Finish painting the car
Fix the shifter, idk if u can tell by the pics, but its a sword, its sweet as hell dont get me wrong, but theres issues with the handle of the sword and the location of the handle for the ebrake. at times when quickly down shifting or up shifting after yanking the break, ur hand can get cought between the base of the handle and the ebrake. This was the former owners trademark, and he drove fine with it, but its not working for me. The shifter is soooo sick though lol..
Id like to modify the ebrake a bit also, ive seen a few DIY threads where people have gutted the ebrake and flipped and welded the handle, looks and seems sick, seems like a little better route at the moment.
I really need to tub the fenders, the 18x9.5 are rubbing pretty bad, and i feel when i turn the wheel i can get a bit more with a little more clearence.
I think my wheel bearing is done, im getting  a funny sound from one of the wheels, but havent taken the time to really look.
Also need to replkace drive axles, the stock s13 drive axles lasted ALL of 5 mins under boost, i seem to be getting a lot of sag under the car putting stress on the input shafts to the diff.
I heard the j30 driveshafts are beefier and will hold up longer, anybody have any suggestion besides going the $600 route for race ones.
Im sure i will find more when i start looking through the car aagain

If you want to get rid of that shifter LMK... Being from the same area when I drive again I'll keep that sword going.

NEVER!!!!! hahahaha.....Ill always keep the shifter, theres alot of this car i could never part with lol.
even extending the sword area would give me a little more clearence between the base handle and the ebrake.

are you going to get the block machined? if so how are you going to gap the piston rings? are you going to give it a lil bit more room to play or keep it as close to factory specs as possible toleramce wise? stock these things can handle a retarded amount of power. id say you build it for the turbo application though. in the end it may be the difference between holding up or falling on its face under a rapefest. good luck tho with whatever you end up doing.
