« Reply #31 on: June 12, 2010, 10:22:16 AM »
WHOA THAT THE FUCK!!!! TAKE IT EASY GUYS!!...I didnt put delete on here. Someone got on to my account (and i know who). im not deleting my account because someone made a comment, im a grown man and can take criticism.

As far as your comment exiled. I dont really give too shits, i got spoiled by this car, and i know im not a pro drifter. I didnt have any care in the world for drifting till a friend took me through a turn sideways at 40mph and the love crazed obessesion started there.
Driving is my passion, plain and simple. It will be what i do till the day i do most likely.

So again, PROJECT S13k rebuild is continuing lol. and thank u guys for all the comments (seriously)

Update. Im going to put as much stuff of the parts i neeed on rush order, i didnt realize i had another 2 weeks or so to get it ready for VD 19.
I just need Head gasket, pistons.rings and fluids

hope you make it out to VD019. Its going to be a fun event. The first summer night event is always great.

Getting on the track and driving is what its about. Gotta have thick skin to drift. Don't be distracted by forum cry babies , haters or cfinch. I personally know cfinch likes this car in secret.

so just called meyer auto parts on decature, and they carry my rings and pistons (stock h22 prelude pistons 87mm)..Meye has the rings and pistons for $200!!!! but the guy said there made in china... Now ik 99% of the shit we buy is made there, but is this a good choice to go with?? im a little concerned about putting some china made shit inside my motor and expecting it to hold under boost. Any thoughts???
And yes my new bff finch, they said there made to OEM SPECS

buy the real oem ones. if you can afford them if not save up or throw those pistons in there knowing that you aren't throwing the best thing in there. They should last awhile though.

Whoa whoa whoa here... Don't put me in the same category as that asshole!

lol of course I like this car... It's a fucking convertible with a cage!!! Trust me I'm a huge fan of engine as well just not in this car... Since it's already been done I would rock the hell out of this thing. I hope to see this thing on the track myself.

Why are we searching for stock pistons? Wouldn't it be good to have a forged piston with stronger ring lands and lower compression for the setup your running? Granted I know nothing about this motor but I don't see how there couldn't be major benefits...

Yeah I have to agree with this, car is solid I am no fan of a single brand but of performance itself. I definitely advice you going with aftermarket forged set. I had a built H22A back in the days so I am pretty familiar with it. Lowering your compressions should be top priority at this moment as to not replicate the same disaster which caused this engine to spot functioning. Once compressions are good a decent turbo upgrade would suffice and start tearing it up on the track.

I would suggest DDS Performance. He can rebuild your motor for you. He should even be able to cut you a break on some machine shop costs.

Update:
Rod bearings,Pistons, rings and head gasket are all on there way via Fedex. DDS is lending me a hand on the motor, so VD19 is looking like a possibility.
