Wait whats wrong with scotch bright pads....

Stop trying to kick knowledge when you know nothing about it!

Scotch bright pads are more then abrasive enough and much easier/faster to work with especially with water. They also make compounds to work with scotch bright pads to make them more abrasive and help clean the areas as well. I highly recommend for speeding up this process. As long as they are red scotch bright pads you are good.

Agree'd as I recall the red scotch brite pads will actually cut into aluminum. The green ones are supposed to be aluminum "safer" lol   Can't wait to see this Trav.

this guy also used the red pads on his car.
unless i wanted to take it down to bare metal, then i used something else.
i enjoy green a little :)
but i thought rasta colors were red/yellow/green
black/yellow/green is something else...

jamacia?

anyway, should be cool.

thanks. im scoth brightn the interior and gona aircraft strip the engine bay and sand the body. gona add some reinforcements on the cage and a new front bash beam. gona get my grill on. also gona try to uprgrade the head gasket and and get some cams and springs so i can re tune at higher boost to get 380 to 400 whp. then ill just adjust the boost according to track layouts. can always turn it down. also gona get all my body kit and overlays fixed from battling it out the last of this year.

I don't understand whats the big idea of taking good working cars apart but I guess it is the "off season". Just make sure to get it back running well before you think you need to. New shit always breaks, at least thats my experience. Take some pics and keep us up to date on the rebuild.

ya taking apart a good running car always sucks to go backwards but i found a few things that needed some improvement and the motor need to be resealed. i also made the car so easy to take apart with all the an fittings and custom parts. me and joey took the whole car apart except interior in 4 hours then the interior only took an hour or so. i made the car as simple as possible to make quick fixes easy and everything very accessible to get too. no matter what the car wil be put back together by the end of january so i can test all february and be on to comps in march.

At some point, all the -an fittings in the world wouldn't make pulling a motor any less crappy.
