Just got a couple new items in the mail today! its like late christmas lol.

First thing is the Koyo Radiator N-Flow

Got a Godspeed intake manifold also lol.

Stuff looks good and I love the new radiator. The N-Flow is supposed to be a lot better then the old version.

You get what you pay for and the GodSpeed manifold has a lot wrong with it. I'll be taking it to a machine shop soon to get it ported correctly to improve air flow. Pretty much the ports are smaller the the stock ports that match up to the block. So im going to take the stock one and have them machine it out.

Heres the pics on what I'm talking about.

This picture you can see that the GS mani has smaller ports (GS top, OEM bot)

Then heres the stock gasket on the stock manifold. Matches up very well.

Here is the pics of the GS mani with the stock gasket. It is off a little on right, and REALLY off on the left

Gray and I spent a good amount of time trying to install the new 2jz water pump to delete the 1jz hydro pump. Mainly because the crank pulley was stuck, but 2 pry bars and about 2 hours later, its off and then we run into other problems with the stock twin turbo piping getting in the way. I first just wanted to get this thing running with the stock twins....but yah...no its single turbo time lol. So we took off the stock turbos and found one was blown anyways, so bonus!

Hydropump is so cluttering

The stock twins looks pretty hideous with the heat shield off lol.

After everything is off the water pump was way easier to take off.

So much better looking

Man if you would to take off the twin turbo setup while it is in the car, it would probably be an 8 hour job.
Unless you had a star socket or star wrench to get the studs out of the turbine flange that mates to the manifold or use a two nut combo on the studs for the turbine exhaust flange.   Damn near impossible to get just the turbos off with out doing that.

But with the single turbo setup it will be bananas!♦

you guys are crazy. A mazworks z32 tranny kit for the SR could have saved you the trouble of all this swappin' jz stuff but good luck with the build I can't wait to see it in person!!! :)

He wants more reliable power. Without going V8.
I guess with more flexibility with power and not have to spend too much money to go up or down.

Gray is right on, I am going for 450 - 500 whp and still be running lower boost and with great reliability. The twin scroll 44mm Tial wastegates should help accomplish that. I didnt want to go V8 american, and a inline 6 seemed a great choice.

Just ordered the first Doc Racing 1JZ GTE manifold that they have made. Should be about two weeks before it arrives. I'll throw up pics when it gets here.

DOC racing manifold and GT35R / Tial 44mm Wastegate and some injectors would be enough for that power range while keeping the boost threshold relatively early. Maybe throw on a 90mm TB with a decent intake manifold and call it a day.

Yao, seriously tho. I agree with Strohmyer...You are crazy. 450-500 is stupid power for a little S13. There are hella people with reliable SR's making 350ish horse and that power would be adequate. Either way, you build good stuff, keep it up!

PS: if this doesn't work out, drop in a German V8 or inline 6 TT ? Now that would be first! LOL

LOL thanks danilo. Yes 350 is great hp for sure, but I like being able to power out of my mistakes lol. Yah its kind of lazy but anyone with a good 400 hp/tq knows that it is pretty awesome to be able to power out of bad situations (especially you built V8 guys).

@melon - I ordered a Q45 90mm TB last week and I have the godspeed mani, should be good. :)

Who's making 350hp on an sr20 reliably here in Vegas?  Other than Forest's race car.
I would like to know because I want to run my car like my Hachi, start it up and drift, for at least the next two years.

How long have you been drifting on your set up and what do you have on it?
