Time for a mob of people to drop off a 240 in a parking lot and sit in another car and wait. When they try to take it we jump out and beat their ass!!! This is getting retarded!!

Out of the 530 cars stolen on the Strip in 2008, New York, New York was best. Their 4,000 spot garage had only three thefts. Monte Carlo was tied at three, Riviera came in third, Statosphere was fourth and Treasure Island was fifth best with only eight stolen cars.

Why the success? Duvall says it's all about what you see. "The trick to stopping theft is to create the perception, the correct perception, that they will get caught," he said.

That's where New York, New York succeeds. They have one entrance and exit with multiple cameras and also a unique feature: a guard. "Any kind of manned post in and out of lots or garages always helps," said Lt. Duvall.

Riviera's chief of security says they are very aggressive about their property and that they use "a lot of plain clothed patrols and stings."

When it comes to the most cars stolen on The Strip, Mandalay Bay had the most according to Metro records, clocking in at 42. But with more than 8,000 spaces, your car still has a low probability of getting stolen.

Circus Circus had the second most stolen with 39. Luxor had 38. Caesars was fourth with 36 and Excalibur was fifth with 33.

Who wants to wait with me at Mandalay Bay?

^^^Lets do it!! I mean all this is really making me think about trying to install lo-jack on my car.

It really sucks to have most of your hard earned cash poured into a car only to have an idiot/idiot's swipe it from under you. It really discourages you from buying parts. We gotta find a way to put an end to this :/

I think I'm going to take it to the extreme and buy a clutch lock, steering wheel lock, and have a hidden kill switch. Its ridiculous...

Go to Target/Wal-Mart...go to electronics department...buy a verizon prepaid cell phone...make sure its the child version (for grade school kids)...Activate it...and whenever you go somewhere, leave the phone on, but hide it somewhere good.

The child phone has a gps tracking unit in case of kidnapping...that and you can call them to let them know you are on your way to kick their ass. LOL

True...but wouldn't you still have to make sure the cell phone is charged? Or maybe you just install a solar cell on your car so it always charges it.

I mean I want to take it to an even greater level and buy two pure breed pit bulls and leave them in the car....But then on second thought, yes it would definitely protect my car. But then I would be in Jail or end up with a huge fine for animal cruelty hahah

I'm looking at installing an electric fence charger to my car, so if they even touch it they wont do it again. I also work on the strip and just the thought of driving my car to work makes me nervous. Even valet is a risk, they leave windows down and some leave the keys in the car.
