this post was done on 8/13/07

to start I would like to say this is the cleanest stock white 240sx i have ever seen. Ran great fealt smooth to drive a/c blew cold as ice...... now watch me rip it apart and make it my slut.....
clean engine

dash out carpet out

wtf is that tar? it wants to stay but its going( its a bitch to take that shit off the passenger seat)

robert helping me take the motor out

look at him just dig in there

old subframe going in as a whole...its just 4 bolts

dam robert you love working on my car

taking the subframe out

4 bolts and bam

shits heavy you think i am going to carry that

i had to reseal the diff it was leaking pretty bad

forest showed me the hawaiian secret...diff in tire makes it easy to keep diff fluid and reseal it awwwwww

forest and robert

extra interior parts

no more motor

stock fenders

taking the tar out with dry ice in the middle of the summer when its 110 isn't a very good idea...even when i bought 40 pounds worth

the ice still left a line of tar

got all of that shitty tar off

engines trannys and parts

shitty pic but its just of the under dash harness...it s mess under that dash

i had to pull the harness and pull it threw and then put it threw the engine bay so it won't hit the tire

Sr20 in

there is still alot more shit to do i will take more pics and post them as i go. Building a car is always on going if you ask me but this car should be track ready next week.....big thanks to Forest and Robert I couldn't get all of this shit done alone and Josh Herron helped with moral support

the trunk

pedals in

looks kinda blue to me in this pic

wow starting to look like a car

fits perfect with b magic fenders...

yeah that car doesn't look all that great for some reason well anyways here is how the car is sitting today i had to primer the places that have bondo and sand it today. Also had to paint under side of the hood and the fender jams.

Car in booth

can't really see the color in this pic

this shit is expensive for a drift car

outside it looks alot better

Now i have to get the painless harness fun wiring in ,the motor, and everything else.

Here are a few pics of the works test fitting on the car 18 by 10.5 for the rear

I think i might need some wide fenders or pull the hell out of it until then i am going to run the beater rims.

Well i have gotten some more work done i got the eveything for the motor in with some new shit: earl's power steering line, some Hids, power steering cooler, and everything else the motor needs.

got a few new gauges

still waiting on the oil pressure gauge

New 300zx brakes

I got the front windsheild in with the quarter glass. The rear windsheild had tint from hell on it and was hard as fuck to get the glue off so i have to wait til tomorrow to get that in.

I turned the ebrake around so its a pull, got the wiring harness all wired up and working. I still have to clean up all the wires and such so it looks clean but eveything works.

I haven't tired starting the motor seeing as the battery went dead today and i got lazy. And these are my support dogs

Is that one of those MAMS valve covers?

I've seen a couple of those now. What exactly do they do? I honestly have no clue, which is the reason I don't work on cars. hahaha

yeah it is the s14 valve cover has baffles that lead up to the front and the rear lets the valve cover pressure go straight back down to the back of the block to equalize the pressure.

nice work. I almost did that as I had leftover 3M urethane, but to save time just went with the Nismo ones. Man I wish I had a garage! Nice work on this build Josh, looks better every post.

How hard was it to use the painless wiring kit? I plan on using this for my GS build. I don't need anything but the motor and lights to run thats it.
