Most of the wiring done and connected

With the motor mostly done it was finally time to put the last big parts in!  KOYO to the rescue to keep my temps low!

If you need the lil radiator support feet here is the part #

Goes here but just a lil easier to just put in on the radiator first.

Bolt up the top support brackets and done.  Next up is the rad hoses from SAMCO.

Upper rad hose location and install

Lower rad hose location and install

Done!

Next step intercooler and kit install.  I went with a GREDDY LS SPEC kit.

Bottom mount tabs

Then loosely bolt everything up since you'll still need to get a rough fit of everything.

On to the air intake and filter.  Finally get to finish the install from previous post.  GREDDY AIRNIX w/Z32 MAF.

Once again I loosely installed to get a good fit and idea of location.

Installed the BOV went with a GREDDY type RZ.  It'll be atmosperic for the time being but I have the adapter to recirc.  I'll get hose for that later.

Also did the same for all the piping for the intercooler.

Last thing I did was put new hood bumper stops, since mine tore apart taking the out.

Twist them back into their respective locations and done!

Well that's it for the time being.  Sorry about all the posts just to post it all but it seems I had to do it this ways cuz I think I was reaching the page limit for page 6 just to get to page 7, pics take up a lot of room.

I'd keep getting the message of Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /home/vegas/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 2988

Oh well it's all there, lol.  Gotta start packing some stuff up today and moving them over to storage so I'll finish up so of the stuff later.  Hope everyone has enjoyed.

Thanks a lot Yao!  I'm still trying to fit in time to finish up the work.  Still packing up and moving stuff into storage and getting ready to leave for a year.  I'm glad that ya finally got that 1JZ!  I'll be looking forward to seeing it up and running when I see your car again! Smiley

I just need to find some rubber caps to cap off the port on the intake for a recirc bov.  Also need to find another cap for the port for the stock bov on the lower hot pipe.  Last thing is deciding wheter or not to run the charcoal canistor.  I'd get rid of that nasty sight of a metal line and just run a longer hose that is higher than the gas tank to vent fuel vapors and out of the bay.  So I need to run the vac lines different but if not I want an opitimal set up for the lines.  Ideas anybody?  You guys already know the setup I'm running the only thing I need to do is to put my cheap lil manual boost controller.

True but I'd also like to have some good quality parts.  If the shell goes well at least everything should transfer.  Well depends what happens but it'll be better to say most.  LOL.  But that's what happens and I expect it, I might shed a tear or two (maybe a lot), but I can also say NEXT PROJECT!!!  YES!!!  Until then still got more to do and no time to do what I'd like.  Next year I'll pick up where I'll need to, suspension and brakes.

Alright after slowly finishing up some last minute details I rolled her out today and cranked her up. Grin

CLICK PIC TO WATCH VIDEO

It runs rough and won't stay idle.  I assume it's due to the previous tune doesn't like the new changes as in Z32 MAF instead of SR MAF.  Also bigger injectors from 370cc to 555cc.  I also think I need to change up the vacuum lines.  I have the bottom nipple on the TB going straight to the WG, small nipple on IN MANI going to the FPR, and finally I have the big nipple on the IN MANI going to the BOV.  Haven't tee'd anything in such as a boost gauge or a manual boost controller yet so everything is straight forward.

You guys know my set up but I'd like to see her idle fine without dying on me and before putting her in storage next weekend.  Lemme know what you all think and if anyone would like to stop by and peek at her then by all means.  I have less time now to devote my attention to her.  Cry

Also one last thing as a lil side note, we pushed her out of the garage just in case.  Ya know, fire and stuff.  I filmed while I dragged my roomie away from his girl to crank it.  Fire extinguisher was on standby.  LOL  Tongue

needs a tune it wont run right with out it especially with bigger injectors and n62 maf.  either get a afc controller or do a nistune. that would be your cheapest. throw a stock maf and injectors in and it would probably run fine

Yeah I thought so, just need to save up a lil more to do all that.  I'm just happy she turned over and came to life for a bit.

very true, going to need a tune to run that stuff. Injectors and z32 maf is a big difference to the SR.

Hey guys sorry for no recent post of anything.  But an update is that the car is now put away in storage and I have finally left Vegas and am now in S. Korea for the next year.  I'll be sure to continue the build up when I get back.  There's still a lot of things to do (a tune for one) to get her the way I want.  At least while I'm over here I should be able save plenty of money.  I hope to maybe visit Japan while here to get some parts, so we'll see!  Grin  Until then hope everyone enjoyed my build so far.
