Over the weekend I've got around to swapping some parts and I know I promised pics earlier but I ended up going out and woke up a lil hung over.  LOL

Alrighty then, first things first time swap out the PCV valve.  Sometimes I always forget to take pics and here is one of those moments.  Especially when I threw out the old.

Part # for S13

Intake manifold time.  As seen in previous pics temp mounted.  I decided on GREDDY's

Along with it I'm putting a CIRCUIT SPORTS thermal intake manifold gasket to help with transfer of heat from the head to the manifold and keep the mani temps down.

Removed the tape and the surface has been prepped.

Mounted

Installed the 2 vacuum ports and also put the 3 plugs for the extra ports.  Nice to know I won't have to use as much T-fittings now!

Took off the old brake booster vacuum fitting from the old mani and transferred it over along with installing the new fitting that'll now connect to the PCV valve.

Now just put on the GREDDY logo and done son!   8)

Since that's on it was time to put on the fuel rail.  Shot of the old mani after being stripped of parts

Old fuel rail

Might have accidently broke the cap on 1 injector.  Oh well going for either 555 or 740 injectors instead of these puny 370.

Looking at the directions and translating the words (yes greddy instructions are in Japanese! :P) but luckily I remember how to read and write from being in Okinawa for 2 years!  Score!   ;D  I may not understand most but at least the pics help as well!  But I need to modifiy the fuel rail.

Such has the FPR, as it will hit the valve cover like so.

The mount tab behind the foremost one needs to be trimmed off, hits mani and not needed.

Then the aft mount tab also.

I went ahead and ordered a brand new one

S13 fuel rail part #

I did the mods and should now mount just fine

Also noticed the the top tab no longer comes with the rail.  Well it saves me time.

Old vs New

Plug in the rubber insulators

Snugged down and ready for injectors!

Now to fix the FPR issue I got a GREDDY FPR swivel.

Now I shouldn't have any problems!  Just wanna get a new FPR as it was previously damaged a bit.

That's it for now.  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  Now time to walk the dogs!   :D

As promised I got off my a$$ and did a lil bit of work today.  MW3 break time!   :P

I was able to replace all the washers w/seals and the nuts for the valve cover.  I must've missed counted (ahem, fat fingered or one too many in my belly) when I ordered.  So I got 11 of each when I need 13.  Better than old ones

Since I'm missing two I put them where they can easily be accessed in the front.

OEM part #'s are 01217-00221 for the nuts and 13268-97E0A for the washers/seals.
The website thenismoshop.com is such a life saver!

Also I did replace the the valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets and the 5th lil small one as well but forgot to take pics again!  Boo!
Part #'s are 13270-52F00 for the valve cover and 13271-65F00 for all five of the spark plug gaskets.

Now time to tackle spark plugs and and a new coil pack harness.

New harness and part #

New vs. old

You can see why I replaced the old one.

Now for the spark plugs.  I decided to go with NGK only because I've never once had a problem with them.

Coil packs and harness removed.

Look at the old ones

Installed

Now put the packs back on and attach the new harness neatly.

And as you remember the TOMEI cover which I'm glad it'l help vent heat while looking stylish.

Last thing, gotta remember the one ground wire on the harness to the back of the motor.

With the top done (sorta, cuz missing the 2x nuts and washers, sigh, off the valve cover) I got around to getting the throttle body and IACV installed too!

Becuase I don't wanna make a new bracket to make the S13 throttle pulley work with the intake mani I ordered and am using the S14 pulley.  Very simple to replace, nut/washer and boom, done son.

Also since I don't wanna run coolant to the throttle body (cuz it doesn't get too cold here to take use of warming it up) I simply pulled both nipples out by pulling and twisting with some pliers.

Got a new throttle body gasket

Cleaned her up and installed

Last but not least the IACV, dirty!  :P

Cleaned it up and removed and prepped the surface for the new gasket.

The gasket was on back order and went for one the FRSport offered.

Mount her up and call it a day!   ;D

That's all for today!  Now I think it's time for some well deserved MW3.  Bring it on!  mwah ha ha ha ha  ;D

Cleaning up the parts takes up the most time and a lot of simple green and wire brushes!  lol.  I wanted to clean due to make it look presentable and also locate any leaks quicker down the road.  But man it sux to sit there in my chair and scrub!  sigh......  oh well, it's for the better! ;D

you could of saved a lot of money on the seals and gaskets using the red silicone or the copper silicone. also a lil tip on your exhaust stuff spray all your gaskets with copper spray. it will help with those dam exhaust leaks.i use the copper spray on everything and never blown a gasket even under hard driving.

Kinda wanted to keep it OEM for the seals, also as a possible informer for anyone that was looking for OEM part #'s.  Kind of get a pretty good discount from a co-worker who has a relative that works for Nissan.  WIN! ;D

I would've never thought about using a copper spray for exhaust gaskets.  Hmmmm? :-\  I'll definately have to look into and eventually try out (curious lol) next time around.  Thanks for the info, always much appreciated!   :D
