my ebrake sucks. it looks like S14 5lug. would doing better rear pads help it lock a little better, or should i just do Z32 drums and call it a day? would i need the Ebrake cables then? brake lines? im lost on this thing.

my FC has the same Ebrake setup as S14 with the cable using the rear calipers to lock and it works gangster with good pads. id like to not dump $3k into this car a week into owning it but if need be then i guess i have to the ebrake is crunchy dildo status...

get some better pads and make sure your cable isnt stretched. If it is then just replace the cable and call it a day. you could also buy some of those URAS "seahorse" things that give you more leverage and help lock up the e-brake a little better.

thanks dude. it's weird that it's having any issues at all. FCs have this exact same design and they neverrrrrr give any weird issues with stretching/binding in the cable housing.

i'll do the pads thing. it made the FC 100% better.

there is also a 10mm adjustment bolt on the e-brake handle that will tighten up the cable some, but i heard if you tighten it too much it can be bad.

it can deff be bad...me and buckey tightened mine up one night at udrift, and on the way home i hit a dip in the freeway with my stiff ass suspension and my ebrake clicked up and locked just enought to where i didnt notice but it smoked my rear pads and warped my rotors and turned my brakes into paperweights....loosen it up for the drive home i learned
