So, I picked up a 95 s14. I took it to u drift for some action and it ran like a champ. I took some spares rims and tires with me. When I ran out of tread on my wheels, I swapped em out for another pair. Well it had autozone lugs and someone inpacted them. So they cross threaded and broke the studs. I got the car home and replaced the studs a couple of days later. When I did the swap, I noticed the passenger caliper pistin did not go in all the way, but I was able to get the brakes and everything on fine. I read that sometimes they sieze do to wear and tear. Well anyway, I got the wheels on fine. Left off the 5 mil spacer and took it for a spin. I took it for a ride and about 15 miles later it sounded like a the piston was puyshing the brake pad into the rotor and was making a grind sound. As I was on the way back home it grew louder and louder to the point that it was a scraping and clcking noise. I took off the wheel to find that the rotor was fine and wasn't sticking. It was not grinding against the coilovers or brake sticking. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I'm stumped.

you're going to need to look around to find out what it grinding. if it is indeed lout, there will probably be metal shavings, shiny/clean metal or something similar somewhere.
i dont really see how someone is going to be able to advise you on this otherwise.
ive had a similar sound resulting from a blown wheel bearing.
could always take it to a good mechanic.

Yeah I looked for metal shavings and all that to no help. I plan to take it to kyle if I can't look at it tomorrow. Always a shot in the dark with vague posts like this, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Hey guys I sorted this out. The parking brake got loose and was slapping the drive shaft. Just thought I'd put this here for someone else to learn from.
