Good! Looks solid so far. Are you building the car to be legal for Formula Drift?

You went with the same motor we have for our backup motor in our track car driven by Josh Guild. On E85 we did 440hp 467tq to the wheels with the same setup except for a GTO LS2 camshaft instead of the VVT one. Let me know if you'd like to get it tuned, I do HPTuners on the stock ECU and we have a dyno in house.

Keep the updates rolling in!

awesome build. definitely going to be the best FC build in the US for drifting right now.

sucks about the strut tower - firewall bracing i'm surprised no one had the FD rulebook on hand.
you can message Ray Berlo on facebook for the current rulebook.

Yeah, actually that's the reason I was asking, sadly that's not allowed. If you are doing the cage yourself I highly reccommend taking the time to dissect the rulebook. What's your email? I'll shoot you a copy.

No, it's a watered down version. If you plan to make it into Formula Drift within 2-3yrs it's best to just build your car to the actual FD Rulebook and do it right the first time.

GL with the build Blake. it's going to be dope.

Go to the "rules and regulations" bar at VegasProAm.com. The rulebook and comp format are there.

Update: Didnt do anything on the rx7 this weekend because I was racing my other car. First time in a car in 4 months and set fast lap on my warmup lap. Drew the pill to start on poll and on the start my clutch started slipping. Long story short I pulled off on lap 4 and didnt run in the main event. My mazdatrix angle kit finally showed up though after a month. Not progress will be made in the next couple weeks either... :/

Got the motor mounted in and the transmission brace mounted/thru-bolted. The shifter couldnt have come through in a better position. Also started working on the rear bearing hub conversion.
