i used to run that setup, except i used an ams turbo and a tial wastegate.

by far the best setup ive ever had. that manifold is excellent, tough as nails.
i bought mine directly from jgs though
http://www.jgsturbo.com/ka24et.html

they've been around a long time tons of people have used it, i wouldnt hesitate to purchase from them again.
btw, the paint on the downpipe/dumptube will burn off though(unless its changed, it was just for storage/shipping)

I run the JGS set up right now as well, it's very reliable, the metal is super thick, don't have to worry about manifold cracking, turning bright red, etc. Just like Robert, I have a different turbo and a Tial wastegate.

Don't get me wrong this set up isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for...my KA-T cost just as much as an SR set up would...but i like that fact that everytime I get in my car, I know I will not have problems.

I purchased my set up 6 years ago from a member on NV240sx/Zilvia...Him and that steve shadows guy were building a KA-T that fell threw, and I picked it up when they parted out the project.

PS: top mount turbo is easier to service/repair/fix

yah bottom mount does suck to service for sure.

combine that turbo with a full race manifold, never have to worry about your manifold cracking. After my tomei manifold cracks, ill be going with full race for sure. worth the money

x2 for full race.
another cool turbo manifold company is Doc Race out of Seattle. slightly cheaper than Full Race but definitely not equal quality.

My KA is stock. with a bolt on turbo kit.
However, I am now sporting a Z32 Maf, 740cc injectors (Tomei/Nismo), Tial 38mm external wastegate,
First Gen HKS BOV, Walbro pump, Ebay intercooler, DDS custom piping, JGS manifold, custom made blown turbo from Steve Shadows LOL. Nistune ECU tuned by DDS.

I purchased everything brand new with the exception of the BOV and the used turbo. previous owner of this set up sold it to me with a RS Enthalpy tuned ECU...I was convinced to go Nistune. So Kyle burned the Enthalpy tune into the Nistune, then improved it from there.

I Dynoed the car with DDS and it put down 275 hp and 265 tq. on 9 lbs on and 91 pump gas. ( that's what the blown turbo put down) Previous owner made this set-up to be a 350+hp KA (with built internals). Since mines is a stock  internal KA, I told kyle to keep it simple, safe, and reliable. Kyle said I can push it to 300 but I don't want to take the chances...

The motor is mated to the drive train via Fidanza light flywheel, ACT 6 puck unsprung, and a welded diff.

$300 cast manifold vs $1300 tubular manifold

i have a full race, and would buy the cast one if i built another car.

the expensive one is super pretty and performs super well though!

Just wanted to clarify; actually I made my own base map for your specific setup, just like I do with every car. I never use another Tuner's tune, and hope nobody would ever use one of mine without giving due credit and not making profit. Plus Scott at RS Enthalpy is a cool guy and I wouldn't want to piss him off like E-Mance did. lol

FWIW, I buy flanges and oil lines from JGS all the time. Great customer service, and their stuff works!

As far as the OP, I'd agree with everyone on here so far as for keeping it simple with a proven setup that works great.

its a t3 flanged kit. so a turbo with a t3 frame and 4 or 5 bolt downpipe flange depending on which one you order with your kit.
expect to spend at least a few thousand dollars overall.
