Who would have thought... come with his lame ass gangsta entries, lame ass insane gangsta angles, tire smoke screens like someone ninja bombed the whole place.
I know right... Wack!!!

I kiid... I kiid...
He was super dope if you could tell from sarcasm.
Good fun yesterday, wish there would have been more drivers and more hachi love.
Course was super awesome. Hope they keep that one for awhile.

We had fun! thanks to udrift for covering up the lost of Nellis event. I wish we could have more entrees for the comp. oh well, for those who came im sure u guys had a ton of seat time.

im glad u guys liked the course, wish i could have at least tried to drive it. maybe soon, hoping that udrift will also keep that configuration for a little bit.

sorry Rob, you were doing good the whole practice and you held back on the qualifying. its all or nothing when ur trying to get some points in. Trust me, we are all heart broken to just eliminate 2 drivers. look forward for next time! experience is everything!!!

Congrats to the winners! and to all who participated the small event this weekend.

I need to start going to these things to check em out and support the community. While my car wont be drift ready for close to a year, I am sure I could learn a few things out there along with getting to know the community.

Come on up.
You can rent a drift car to practice in from them.
Your car won't be ready for a year?  Why?
Get the engine going, weld the diff, and slap some suspension on and your golden.

We had some much practice out there it was ridiculous.
Pretty much everybody was on point.

Bomac: I'll let you drive the Hachi next time.

IS UDrift wide open? If it is, then my car will be ready in a few months. My thing is that I dont want to drift out at a place with walls, or close walls, until I have a cage and front bars. Other than that, I just need to finish my engine/body work done, which should be in 1-2 months and I am GTG....

See, this is the wrong mentality...get out there and drive with or without walls, especially without a cage...I'm sure you're smart enough to not go near a wall if you're brand new drifter. having the mentality of needing a cage, bars, body work suspension, blah blah blah. etc...that rate you'll never get out there cuz you're always building the car. VD suffered in 2010 cuz everyone had super build threads going on. 2011 everyone should be driving.

I know the standards have gone up: tubs, cages, bash bars, pearl paint jobs, v8's, tow rigs, etc. All of us older folks started where U-Drift is right now, and there is nothing wrong with a stock KA, welded diff and used tires from llanteras.

ok back on topic, congrats Traverse.
How did you guys hear about this thing U-drift held.....I'm there a lot and nobody told me...I'm kinda bitter now LOL.

Well my initial thought was to just get a car and go out there. Then I start my build thread, b/c the engine wasn't working, and I get comments basically telling me I should be doing X, Y and Z b/c I am going to hit walls etc.. So from that, it kind of planted in my head that this was just the norm and most people out at the drift events have all of this done to their car.

I wouldn't know as I haven't been to an event yet...

With that, as soon as my engine is running I will be out there tearing it up, or so I hope! lol..
