i totally agree with the track layout and the hay bails. Worst part of VD008 was cones in the middle of your line every run.

this event was exponentially better than previous ones, I look forward to the next event in February!
what happened with that one run where my friend chris in the red euro asian FC almost hit into you.
did we take a wrong line, or was he just going to slow?? i know we spun, and then all of a sudden, you come in at like mach 90 through the corner. lol the track staff was flagging us to stop.

just bad timing once u spin u really need to get right back and continue cause of the line we try to keep the flow going

haha yea, i figured it was timing, because he was better, and came up on chris. we weren't upset or anything, but i was just curious as to if we took a wrong line.

Great event, thanks to the whole VD staff. I like how the new logo came out too. I was very glad to be given the help/advice from the instructors... didn't know what I was doing! I feel I didn't do too well but I did learn a thing or two from Kevin. Two little girls ran up to my car because they wanted to meet a female driver... (even though I wasn't doing too well) gave me some encouragement to keep trying til my finger/arms started hurting.  I'm going to do some autocross events in between to help.

Looking forward to the next event, I'm glad it's at the speedway... I was falling asleep driving home from Primm.

Oh and thanks shawn for the ride alongs!

u need to get the hachi fix and put a LSD in it the reason the 240 felt like understeer when ur just driving it was cause of the welded diff

My pleasure! anytime, always willing to help other drivers improve, I always appreciate the help I get, so it is nice to reciprocate.

Yeah I think it was bad timing, I guess the red fc spun and I came in to quick so we almost crossed paths. I just know I was coming around the corner and all of the sudden there is a car in my line so I hit the brakes hard.

no big deal it happens.

To MSHL and VegasDrift:

I just want to say thank you for meeting with my nieces; you really inspired them. After the event they could not stop talking about you! They kept getting in the miata and putting on my helmet and pretending to be you. Again thank you for meeting with them. They hope when they get older, you could give them a ride along. Lol!!

Thank you MSHL and VegasDrift for inspiring the next generation of drifters!!

The suspension on that 240 felt pretty well sorted out, better than most 240s. You can do lift throttle oversteer on it quite easily. The problem with welded diff is that if you are going around in a slow corner, you have to either use inertia to rotate the car or keep the rear tires spinning. Since the rear tires cannot turn independently, they always want to go in a straight line. Why don't you just put the diff in the 240, that car is way better than a ae86.

this is only a sugestion during the cold season( summer wouldnt work) wet the skid pad that way we can have the experiance of drifting in wet conditionand build ower driving skills even more, i love watching drift vidios and see them drifting in all the elements i know we live in vegas and have the weirdes and most unpridictable weather out there thats why most of the automakes use this city for most of there concept car test .  this is just an idea dont think im trying to create something but just put an idea outthats seems cool not crazy.  Cheesy

no wet skid pad that would be pointless get more power or less tire on your car. Drifting in the rain sucks to me but yeah thats just me

i learned on a rainy day, just because i bought new tires, and i could barely drive a 5spd car. it was about a week or so after i bought my FC when i went out and tried.
its great to learn in by doing donuts, and whatnot. it teaches how to be subtle, and smooth with transitions, but then when its dry, you'll have to learn to be more forcefull. i just did it to get the hang of learning the sport. my NA FC RX-7 was great in the rain. hahaha

well if you mix it up we will gain more experiance i mean this in the most technical way you never know what kind of situation your in and if you know how to handle it you become better in every aspect, nothing beats expiriance
