the event looked awesome. i got a few ride alongs, and tought my friend how to use the e-brake/clutch kick. chris you did good!
the euro asia FC looked good sideways!

i got burnt on watching, so i left. i get bummed out on knowing how close i was to driving the past 2 events then something ridiculouly dumb pops up, and doesn't permit me to drive... i've just been focusing on people's mistakes, and learning from them, and learning from their experience. its starting to show me my mistakes, and my strengths.

Awesome event!
everyone is progressing, and its rad. volchok your car looked 1000% better man! props

thanks for the new stickers wes, and nick!
ill replace the .com stickers asap.

This was my first event but ive been there to watch other events. The first time around i did get lost while tryin to go slow and get a feel for it XD. But by the time it got closer to the end of the day i was able to link the course. I liked how technical the course was and especially how long the course ran for! Haybails were a very nice addition  Tongue. In short it was a kickass event, and i cant wait to see what the VD staff pulls out for the next event!  Smiley

The event was great. you guys are really good in out doing the previous events. i wanna see what the next one looks like becasue after today I was hooked!

The hay bails made a night and day difference. The technical difficulty was perfect a lot of different transitions. I like the amount of distance covered in the run. this by far was my favorite 1

quick question tho: can we use the other lot for another track loyout like the backwards "R"

Were you driving the green kouki s14?

If that was you I was highly impressed with your driving by the end of the day. Especially for your first event. I was extremely impressed by everyone out there. I had a good time and got lots of good footage.

yes that is the attitude u need to progress man . no matter how stock or how much ur car needs u still come out and drive , thats whats gonna make u good cause ur getting the seat time u need but as u slowly upgrade u will see the changes in ur driving instead of holding out on events and waiting till ur car is all built up and trying to learn . it will be fustrating at times but will pay off in the long run  , plus it all about having fun

Thanks everyone, it was a great event. The best parking lot event I have been to. Thanks Nick, Tommy, Kevin, Ray, Ace and anyone else I am forgetting. Us local drivers really appreciate the effort you put into holding events. That up shift third during the long right-hander was a killer. I don't think any of the underpowered cars could link it. I did it maybe twice in third and several times in second by swinging wide and cutting back in (thanks for the advice Tommy). My only suggestion would be not to have the course come back on itself like it did in the last third. I had to come off the throttle and loose drift twice cause I was headed right for a car coming around that turn, which kills the run. Also, we would have been able to get more drivers on the course at one time if there was no point at which they might meet. then we would have gotten more runs. I know it was really a matter of getting as much as you could out of the space available. Just a suggestion for next time. If there were more drivers, we would have gotten a lot less run time. I only went through One and a half sets of tires!

volchok your car looked 1000% better man! props
Thanks!  i appreciate it, lot of work in a short time to get it that way.

thanks again, see you all at the next VegasDrift!

yea well put VD! event was fun! i had to push the corolla hard to complete the course but it was like a blast from the past. despite the troubles we had with the corolla throughout the day every single run i did was worth it.

thanks tommy for letting me drive your SRAE86, that was insane! i cant imagine how fast that car will be with brand new sticky tires.

i saw a lot of progression with the drivers. Danilo, Rolan, Conrad, El_mata, and the rest of the people i cnt remember names.

one thing i notice is not a lot of people are using the skid pad anymore, which is really good!

see you guys on the next event.

Yup that would be me! thanks alot man. i was really excited when i started to get a hang of the real stuff. not just the skidpad. Too bad i snapped a wheel stud at the end of the day, otherwise id be killing the rest of my tires during free runs!

I have come to the conclusion that I really need wider tires for a lot more grip.  The one thing I was really having trouble with throughout the day was the fact that I was getting no grip on the front tires which caused a lot of problems but it was still a blast.  I thought for awhile that I would need a little more power out of my SR to do higher speed drifts but it turns out I was wrong. lol.  Hopefully the next event that you guys put on I'll have built my suspension better and have gotten wider tires so I don't feel like I'm sliding around on ice!

Yesterday I definitely had a great time and learned a lot about my car.  Thanks VD staff for working so hard and putting on an outstanding event.  I'm sure I can speak for everybody that we all learned a lot and are all excited for the next event!

Amazing event. Definitely the best I've seen. I loved the variety on the track and was so much better for learning than a single large sweeper. I can't believe the work everyone put into building the track! Many thanks for taking the time to put it together!. Everything seemed to flow perfectly and there were no delays.

I've been to many autocrosses on the same lot, and they only manage to put together a 40-50 second track. The use of space was great... It felt twice to three times the size I remember from other layouts there. The hay made a huge difference too.

The only thing I would suggest is to hand out photocopies of the track layout at the driver's meeting. We got to see a copy, but having one in the car for the first couple of runs would have helped a lot. Maybe even post it on-line so we can know what to expect. I think then there would have been people getting lost.

I think the main confusion was that there was a cone sideways pointing left on the first turn after the chicane - if this was pointing right instead I think we could have followed it the right way around. I didn't notice it when doing the parade lap, but it was all that I saw when doing the course the first few times.

Amazing event in every way!..
