Just spoke with my commander and looking at 9/10 April for the Nellis event. I need a POC for the event though. This event will be a 2 day event with Drifting and autocrossing on separate days. Will also include a car show and aircraft display for photos. More info to come but wanted to get the word out now so get your tires ready!

what dates are open or best for an event for the Vegas community? We cant do it the 16/17 due to aircraft and 23/24 is easter weekend. We need to know asap so we can work with airfield management to get the maximum space for event. Thanks!

its a juggling act really. Between putting this together, still doing my assigned job, personal life, and biggest is being a single parent. But its well worth the extra effort and stress. The results of putting it together gives me much enjoyment. And finally this year I will have a vehicle to enter into it. The normal group that puts the event on isnt able to support it. So I took it upon myself to keep the event going. We will also be having an event in the fall too. But more to come on that. I am talking with Nick now to find the best possible date for a Nellis event. More than likely VD will be Sat and SCCA will be Sun. More to come as things get ironed out. I just wanted everyone to know that I am doing my best to keep Nellis alive as a spot to drift since from what ive been told its the best in Vegas.

Have you spoke with Nick Dizon about this? Are you charging a entry fee?  If you are not going to charge that is one thing but if you were to charge a entry fee you should contact Nick and talk about certain rights to the customer pool that you advertising to on this forum that he has rights too.

With U-drift coming in and "you" if you get this Nellis deal off the ground are practically stealing his business.  I know this is a community but nick has broken his back and his wallet to put on events for this community only to have to have it ripped away from him by people encroaching in on something he built basically from the ground up. I stress that a lot of people don't really know how much Nick has sacrificed in not just money but blood, sweat, tears, and sleep to Vegas Drift to get where it is today only to have it being picked away by jackals.

So I ask you nicely if you plan to "charge" a event fee you should work out a deal with Nick at least on the drifting end.  The autocross is another story.

Edit... well I jumped the gun a little and I didn't read your very last post. I hope you ane nick come to an agreement. However I'll keep the above post up b/c its just the way I feel about the overall situation.
