Well its time to update again, hope everyone had a good holiday.

The Texas Speed cam kit is being installed, which includes Cam, springs, retainers, lifters, and push rods - (stage 4) 60-80 hp
Ported oil pump
ARP rod bolts
LS2 heavy duty timing chain

Thats going to be all the internal motor work im going to do for now.. after a good tune I should be at about 450whp and about 440 ft tq

I wanted to show you guys the switch panel I ended up going with. its the ARC 8000 with 50 amp relays, I like this one a lot better than the old school toggle switches. Its a flat touch panel which can be mounted to a roll cage as well as a dash.

Thats it for now  Grin

I highly suggest the melling 18% high VOLUME!!! oil pump. The higher pressure isn't needed the high volume is what will save your bearings.
ls1 right? what year ls1? what cam? I will be shocked if you get over 400whp with just a cam.

Yea definitely getting that done to the oil pump as well. Its an 04 LS1 and I went with Texas Speed Magic Stick 4 cam kit. Its guaranteed at least 60whp but i've seen almost 100whp out of them with a good tune. Not to mention im also going with 1 3/4 diameter longtube headers. I am also sending my ECU to Texas Speed to get it tuned accordingly to the mods I have.

Haha thanks a lot man, I'm in the process of taking out all the extra metal inside, like speaker housing and stock rear strut bar. Here are a few pictures of the cage for those of you that havn't seen it.

oh you have a ls6 if its a 04. they come with alot of upgrades. So 400whp isn't that hard to get with a cam. How high are you going to rev to?

LMK how you like that switch panel. I'd like to get your impressions vs the painless b/c you save 200 bucks going with the flat panel but I think it will be easier to break maybe....

Will let you know as soon as it is installed and I use it.

Almost done and I am hoping to have it complete before the first drift event here in AZ on the 21st of this month. Will update with pictures soon

I think I am going to tune the car to about 8500 and then turn it down to like 7500 to be safe. 6800 isn't bad on a stock motor just make sure you have an accusump.

Got any pictures of the progress?
