The rebuild has started with some minor work done a while back:

Things to come:
New h22 pistons 87mm-Done
Piston rings-Done
Headgasket (stock)-Done
Rod bearings (stock)-Done
Seat rails (finally)-Done
Head studs-done
flywheel bolts-done
main cap bolts-done
clutch bolts-done
New rear bumper-Done
new paint job :-)
Mid Mount

Ordering the pistons this week, then ordering the rest next week. So hopefully by the end of the month ill be up and running..Its been a long time coming.

This was some bad shit..Cracked ring lands on every single piston on the intake side

Quick shot of the k24 (tsx) crankshaft (99mm stroke)

H22 pistons 87mm..The whole idea of this 2.4 coversion was to reduce rotational mass. By converting it to a short rod conversion, (stock rods 6.626", h22 rods 5.630 if my memory serves me correct) it reduced rotational mass by 20-25%

More pics to come, falling asleep typing this lol.

I should have read everyones post before i posted. you beat me too it.

I'm 90% sure this is Ben's car.  I rode in this thing when it was all stock back in 2005 when I flew out from Florida to compete in DC3(Drift Day Comp 3). haha and to think its sitting out here in vegas. ha

lol im sure we can do that, i still talk to ben from time to time. its funny to think this was a bone stock automatic vert, and in 2 weeks it wasnt even recognizable lol

Had a general question for anyone who has dealt with this.
I found oem pistons from at least 6 different websites all within a few dollars of one another. I came across pistons for $42.00 per piston. I then found a site that sold pistons with pin for 34.14 a piece.
I called them and they said they use all OEM parts, which didnt answer my question about the quality of the product ie: material etc.
Is this just dumb luck of finding a good deal, or is there something im not seeing? It just was a surprise to find most pistons for $45-50 a piece, then i find these for $34.14 with the piston pin. Any thoughts?

Try reading the fine print lol...

Who manufactures the piston? Just ask them if it's actual oem honda and not something that "meets oem specs"

I will say this back in the day Ben Schwartz drove like a fucking man! I miss seeing that guy out there!

Yea ben is a nutcase in a drift car, ive seen a few videos of him and heard a few stories. I found a few videos of the s13k in action back in 07 with just short clips of the car, and he drove the shit out of this s13 lol...

heres a few more photos, most of these arent recent, this was the work we did just to get it running right again when i got the car

This was right after we installed the new log manifold...We had to reclock the downpipe, due to the turbo being shifted  a few degrees.

this was the old manifold that came with the car, it had been welded so many times i cant believe it was still on the car. DC sports doesnt actually make a turbo manifold for the s2000. This originally came off stephan papadaski (spelling) aem s2000, so either they custom made it for him or from my opinion at looking at them, they used a DC sport F20c flange and make their own Manifold.

I love this exhaust, its makes a very clean sound

Interior pre-paint, I just didn’t like the look of the gold on the floorboards.

This ones for you finch hahah 

So I pulled the old axle out, and that’s what I found (left), so I installed the new one (right), and literally 5 minutes later, and pull of the e-brake later, it fu**** gave out. So I have been told j30 (I think) axles will hold up better?

This is like day 2 of owning the car, the car had sat for 2 years, collecting rust and sand, so some cleaning was needed

These were the wheels it came with, I tried to negotiate, but it wasn’t gonna happen lol.

And these are my fresh MB WHEELs from discount tire with some new falkens..I cant believe from picking these off a computer with a tiny image to look at it, I got so close on color and look of the works.

I took the rear origin quarter panel off, and look, I own a limited edition bitches!!! Lol.I don’t know if u can see all that yellow brown haze on the panel, the whole back section of the car under the body kit was covered in smoke debris lol.

This was the nightmare that came with the car…..The rats nest of wires behind the dash, not the worst ive seen, but pretty bad lol. Thanks to brian, and hours of patience, and HIGH motivation, it came out clean, still not done, but 10x better lol. But I cant complain, u cant expect flawlessness and perfection when building a car like this in 2 weeks.

Well I wanted a damn horn on this car, so for shits and giggles I went to the junkyard and yank off this delco remi horn off an 85 Ford f250.lol its surprisingly obnoxious.

This I have to say is one of my pride and joys of the car.. Project Mu brakes, and Apexi N1 coilovers

Greddy intercooler

More to come, on interior paint, etc. Thanks for looking!
