wow that was amazing. had so much fun! Great to drive again, i missed it so much. car was sick, so much power its crazy... no power steering sucks, at first I thought it was a wasted trip, spirits were down, then I saw Bucky tearing it up, killing it with no power steering and I was inspired! Took a bit but I got the hang of it and finally felt comfortable all day Sunday. Got some great tandems with Josh Chan and Nick D jumped in too! Wish Guild was there or some other vegas drivers. Can't wait to drive again here in Vegas.
Toward the end of the day my drive shaft started making some funny noised, I pulled off and jacked it up, couldn't see anything obvious but saw trans fluid leaking, and thought I smelled burning gear oil earlier so...didn't look good. OK, one more set of 3 runs and I'm done. With no ebrake linking the back straight of balcony into the J turn was tricky and took a few clutch kicks to stick the turn, on the 3rd and final lap I am coming around the J and kick kick kick BAM fucking drive shaft snaps.
LOL!!!! things to fix: drive shaft and/or tranny, hydro ebrake, power steering.
next event for me is All Star Bash, Two Days and one night of drifting and Streets o Willow! my favorite.f

you were doing awesome even without that crap! the ebrake thing would suck, but i knew you'd adapt to the powersteering issue. the end of saturday night you were killing it so hard! so psyched to see you out there again!
i fucking blew my turbo, loaded up, didnt tie my car down, and just bombed out so i could make it out of the gates. had no trailer lights, and was tired as fuck. lol i went to the gas station, tied my car down, filled up the tahoe, and drove to mojave to meet with chance (the crazy guy in the subie) and we drove back. meanwhile, on the 15, dudes decide to fuck with us, and throw shit at chances subaru so he gets all pissed, and tells his friend whos driving it to throw shit back. (chance rode with me from barstow to keep me awake. i kept falling asleep)
chance's friend mike swoops in front of them, brake checks them, and opens the sunroof, tosses the most pussy cup of soda out of the roof, and it blows up all over his spoiler..... we're dying with laughter. marine guys, start bombing to catch him cause they're wicked pissed, and they had no shot... lol we end up catching up to mike and the back of the subie is obliterated with soda hahahaha
probably the most crazy night ever. really wish i couldve stayed overnight, but chick dilema, plus turbo, plus me really not wanting to harm my car too much swayed me to leave.... i had a blast though and it was great seeing all of you again!
JTP hooked it up on some great advice so i'm going to take note, and start wrenching on the FC for ASB, and the next proam. i hope theyre not the same day, because it looks like the schedule is conflicting now.
