well.. i believe they bolt up dont they? at least the manifolds n such do..

for the price of a 3sgte, you could 3-5sfe with a full turbo kit and trans and a good clutch and front mount lol..

I can get 3sfe's and 5sfe's for like 600-700$ dropped off at your house with warranty and paperwork... parts are a dime a dozen, and pic a part is FULLLL of replacement parts...

But thats M.O. lol not my car or money haha...

Best place to get a 3sgte is gonna be from a shop.... I recently was looking for one and ran into a bunch that were bad motors people were trying to get rid of ya know... I'd trust a shop, but their expensive...

I actually found one on craiglist today... the only reason i prefer the 3sgte is because u can put more power to it without having to touch a lot of the internals....the 5sfe is 9:5:1 compression so i would have to use a 3sgte turbo with only 10 lbs boost max for stock 5sfe internals and the 5sfe has weak factory injectors and the head isnt all that great either...the 3sgte can handle 14 lbs safely due to lower compression and if you can find specs on the 5sfe turbo upgrade packages its basically a bunch of swap parts from the 3sgte...theres a lot more work to turbo a 5sfe than to upgrade the 3sgte.....I've done a lil research and I work at a toyota dealership so parts arent too expensive but I couldnt find a good deal on the motor through my job.....thanks for the feed back though I really appreciate that.

I agree on doing the 3sgte, I had a gen3 in my mk2 mr2 and it was amazing. Stock ran it to 18-19 psi. Can't go wrong with a gen3 if you can afford one.

Have you tried gspeed?

5 and 3sfe- block holds 500hp... needs injectors  and a intake mani... Seen it on many-a mr2's lol....

3sgte mani and a turbo, your quicker than the 3sgte... BTMO- Its a MUCH cheaper way to go... somewhat like KA-T or LS-VTEC/B20-
