4 years ago my titan had ALOT of trans problems.
I had 3 trannies, and 4 rear ends put in, in less than 2 yrs...
After then, TRUCK WAS PERFECT... Nissan took care of me with a baller rental tahoe! and everything for 3 weeks! (couldnt get an armada because it was through enterprise)
Really wow. My g/f truck has a bunch of problems with the air bags and the gas gauge. I am sure if we ever had to actually use the truck to tow the diff would go out. Everytime she takes it to the dealership they tell her to find her own way home. Shows if you are going to go buy a truck buy a GM or Ford. |

yah i just read about that. the fact that he said that it was going 94 MPH in a prius already leads me to believe its bullshit. lol. but if you read what the cop had to help him do..hes stupid anyways. "Step on the brake and E-Brake" and then he got to 50MPH and finally "felt safe" enough to turn off his engine.

Hahaha... The Prius can be pretty quick in EV mode. So the 90mph or more is possible but as far as the getting to 50mph to turn the car off is true. You cant shut it off until youre around that speed cause the PCM wont let you. I dont know too much about the braking system on a Prius (primarily cause ive never gone 90 miles and hour and tried to slam on the brakes and hold the gas pedal) I just dont think "Standing" on the E-Brake and the Brake will keep a car going straight even with both hands on the steering wheel in a FWD car going 90mph. He didnt spin out or anything? I want some more info or something. Im not an expert or anything but im pretty sure that even when you slam all the way down on the brakes even with ABS the car should have been slowing down anyway even at "full throttle." |

Why cant we just be like Sweeden and have a freaking emergency driving section on our driving tests. Those dudes basically go to rally school to learn how to drive in adverse weather conditions and in case of an emergency... and its REQUIRED to get your license. I agree with you mello I was thinking about it today at work and I wondered the same thing. Youre probably right Slyd that dude is probably hard up for money and pulled this stunt cause I think its a miracle this guy can freaking be driving at 90mph and not have anything to show for except be shaken up and a small ding in the hood of the car. Not that I wish a car accident on anyone but that dude should have crashed in the situation he was in if it were true. Im pretty sure it was planned. You cannot look away for even long enough to send a text without crashing so how did this guy manage to get into hmmm I imagine it went on for a while but we will say 15 mins in an out of control car and manage to a. Dial 911 and explain what is happening. b. Think of reaching down to pull the gas pedal up under panic *supposedly* and attempt it with out letting go of the wheel and looking at the road. c. Have time to listen to an officer and try at least 2 diffrent ways to stop the car at 90 miles per hour. Last but not least d. Have the time to talk to news cameras with a calm demeanor and not be flipping his shit. Bogus... I say Toyota and the other manufactures launch investigations of their own and check the records of these peoples PCMs and other Modules in the car to gather as much information as you can to counter sue the US Government and these tools looking for a quick buck. I want another damn Supra and im never going to get there with shit like this happening... ;] |
