they usually go in fairly easy. ive heard that its made much easier if you turn the tranny upsidedown first, but i really dont see why it would matter with regards to getting the splines in. ive never tired this method as the only times ive ever had big problems getting the trans on, the motor was out of the car.

good point, i was assuming that the motor was already being tilted. id really like for someone to chime in about this method involving turning the trans.

Holy F***. Had to drop off the front cradle to get the damn trans back in. idk if the manual trans tunnel and auto tunnels are the same but that was not no "it should slip right in, wiggle it"- TruSlyd HAHAHA! finally got the exedy stage 2 clutch in and working. turns out needed a new slave and needed the clutch fork to be re positioned. Phew.......Done. Sad Sad Sad
I told u to turn it with ur body under it... And also sent u the text about jacking up the motor... U never responded... lol Good to know u got it in man! Hows it feel? Ebay-ish?

naw its an exedy clutch and pressure plate. feels nice and firm. i have to adjust the pedal position but after that it will be fine. also im gonna go back tonight and double check all my bolts. finally got some sleep so i can work again haha.
Hey DDS i checked my diff bushings and theyre nice and firm. i CANT figure out where that knock is coming from in the rear end. its driving me crazy!!!!! any suggestions?

does it look firm. or is actually firm?? lol. and what knock are you talkin about. i get one when i back up sometimes. like a grind/moaning sound. but i think thats just what a diff sounds like in reverse.

no im getting noise when the car comes to a hard stop or take off. its a thump in the rear end

Ya i know im just saying. i will do the diff bushings first and see if thats it. just waiting for DDS to get some time so i can get it welded and do it all in one night
