I had some time so I tucked the diving boards. Before After Tomorrow I'm going to tuck the muffler/tailpipes. Maybe even sand and paint all the chrome matte black.

Oh I'm sorry. The diving boards are the bumpers. They have shocks in them to absorb 5mph bumps. I tucked them in about 4 inches.

why not remove the absorbers?
I Had a 1989 318i I believe as my first car... and it was the sickest car ive ever had... (only had it fo r3 days b4 it got impounded for no plates) lol
I seriously could rally the shit outa that car and never had a problem (only rallied it 3 days non stop while camping)... Thing was a tank!!
I remember those damn shocks... they were so heavy and pointless.... i remember EVERYONE that found out that it had them, started to immediately JUMP on the bumpers... literally... EVERYONE that found out had to do it at least once...
Good stuff man... makes me miss my 2door steam missile-

Hahhahahaha What's hilarious is I jumped on mine when I found out too! Just like I jump on my stock mk3 tow hook. Now I can't because I don't want to crack the plastic even more.

Oh yeah the previous owner took it to some dry lake beds and I keep getting huge chunks of dirt on me whenever I go under it.
I took my GTI out rally crossing and I loved it! Tony suggested I practice a bit more there when the car's done.
I'm having no luck finding a LSD locally within my price range. I'm thinking of getting it welded until I can save the dough to buy a LSD. Could any of you recommend a place that does that?

Just sent my diff out to get welded. Should be done this evening. I can't wait. Sold my rims. Gotta ship 'em out. I'm trying to save some bucks, so if any of you guys have some boxes big enough to fit my rims with tires in 'em let me know! ALSO I make decals at my weekend job. I'm really good, but also a really broke college student. If any of you guys need something for your ride I'm pretty reasonable with prices. PM me or Email me and we can make something up! Nothing's too big: "incomplete" Or too small: You've probably seen my Jetta: All decals were vectorized, cut and layered by me. I got more images of customer's stuff but I'm on my work computer now. Email: MHALTHAGAFI@GMAIL.COM

Oh you mean "is". Those are the best e30's after the M3. Have more HP than mine, but less torque.
What do you plan to do with it? Post pictures!
Oh and the metal shop called. I was too late to pick up the diff but I'm picking it up tomorrow after work.
