I've kept out of your situation, Buckey for a while but... piggy backing on what bomac said... when someone says something that you my initially not like, take a deep breathe, re-read and/or wait till the next day to respond.
Half the drama that surrounds you is self created. Just take it slow with sharp words and blasting stuff on facebook... If you take it easy, people around you will start to take it easy. That in turn will lower the drama level. No ones doubting your driving skill. I even wish you well on your journey towards a FD license. Once you hit the big show, "professionalism" comes in to play. If you would like some great advice dealing with PR which is what "this" is... forums, fb, interviews all PR.... Since working for a PR company I'll let you know how my clients and other businesses think when solely choosing a driver.
To give a example, a team is scouting for a driver. They show up and see you at VD event killing it. They like your driving but thats only half the equation... So they check your facebook, they ask people around for your forum screen names, how you conduct yourself off the track. Basically they start checking on your "professionalism"... They check out your attitude, how you conduct yourself in adversity, how you've treating sponsors in the past. Have you said their names in interviews, thanking them, hats in pictures on podium finishes. All these thing ad up to a yes or a no. That yes or no can be the difference of getting a full ride or nothing, a half ride or nothing, a engine or nothing, tires, brakes, travel money etc. etc.
I know you "just want to drive" but you also have a lot of ambition to get to the next level which entails being political. Smiling when your mad, holding yourself together when all you want to do is explode on a person. You have the driving down now you need to start working on the professionalism side. I work for a PR agent and I can tell you that my clients would "not" sponsor you solely based of off track conduct. Thats not me being a hater, its a fact. I'm making that statement not to be mean I'm making it b/c I want to help you. Just before you write something think about what is being said, and how that can effect you a year from now when you have scouts looking through your forum posts and facebook wall... This is real talk coming from someone that works for a place that makes their money by doing such things and gathering intelligence on other companies or people. Using facebook, forums, youtube and other things are all used in the gathering of this intelligence on said person or company. It is all the difference in making deals happen or breaking.
I stress again like Bomac I'm not hating when I say these things I want to help you out. Over half of this post is general PR knowledge that any aspiring driver needs to look at and take advise from. Sorry I wrote you book but hopefully you take that into account, and see that I took time out of my saturday morning to really think about what to write and give you some great advise with nothing malicious in mind...

i know you're not hating, and i appreciate you taking the time to put it all into buckey terms. you are correct on the sponsor/professionalism side of things, although the only thing i really have to say to that would be thats not really why i got into drifting...
although it is a dream for us all to be sponsored (and truthfully easier to make it to more events) whether i get sponsored or not, i'm still going to be at every event i can possibly afford with the coolest car i can afford to build, and drive my heart out, and have fun no matter what... i got into the sport out of love, and i keep doing it and keep throwing every dollar i have (and sometimes dont have) at driving my car.. we all have the same love for the sport... some dudes try harder than others, and some are less responsible than others (me) but at the end of the day we're all out there, and we alll like doing this for the love... if someone is in it for the sole reason to get backed by a big company, and getting fame/popularity out of drifting, then realistically you wont go as far as the dudes out there driving for the love of it... trying to qualify and win, because they have so much investment/stress/lack of sleep in order to even get to the track... i come off wrong to alot of people, and its hard to decipher someone character over a post online, alot of times im really not trying to start shit... we're too small to be fighting amongst eachother... stuff happens though, and the beginning of that post was merely to help get people pumped up which it didnt obviously, and ive apologized for it. i didnt go to the event, and no one was hurt, so hopefully this will be the end of the "drama" from me on here. all i want to do is drive.
