Finaly im puting up a build thread on the ride. any one that know me i had a red s13 hatch with green wide body kit in the 2009 VD events. Know i got another s13 hatch chasis and doing a complete tear down rebuild and heres the progress so far. Got the car home and it was full of goodies and beside being painted nice also had the 50mm chargespeed overs and 30mm fronts. also already have the cage installed and was built  and painted by forrest wang in hawaii in 2004. i currently stripped the interior and subframes to prep for underbody paint and minor roll cage additions and wheel tubs.



heres a list of things that have came in the mail already or are on the way:
Turbonetics T3/T40e hybrid turbo
ETS T3 top mount tubo manifold
ETS 4" top mount elbow
full race OEM polished and sandblasted intake manifold
Nismo 740cc injectors
circuit sports billet fuel rail (gold)
tial 38mm external wastegate

trust 10" x 9" oil cooler

megan version 3 toe rods, traction rods, ruca's, and tension rods

heres a pic of the old chasis before it got disassembled and sold to its new owner driftaholic

Just got my wangles and boxed LCA's last night from VG.  thanks forrest for busting those out they painted up sick. cant even tell they were modified once they were cleaned up. also picked up my single stage metallic black base and supplies today. gonna paint the kit, hood, roof, engine bay, and roll bars. gona two tone it with the pearl yellow. should look sick getting it preped and ready to hopefully add the bars this weekend and paint right after. wil post some picks up later when the paint drys.

i wouldnt paint over that yellow with a single stage black.
fundamentally its a downgrade and that color is a pretty awesome yellow (not to mention super expensive).

im only painting the engine bay since its completly fucked up and its gettin more gussets and stiching. and the body kit since its not from this car originally. and the roll bars since im adding tubes to keep it up to spec. keeping the yellow on the body every where else. i

don't paint the engine bay black... use a lighter color

im only painting the engine bay since its completly fucked up and its gettin more gussets and stiching. and the body kit since its not from this car originally. and the roll bars since im adding tubes to keep it up to spec. keeping the yellow on the body every where else. i

ah that makes sense then, i didnt realize you were doing any work to the cage (which is what i was specifically talking about, in hindsight i realize i wasnt clear about that) nor did i realize that the paint en the engine bay was messed up.
What you might want to look into instead of repainting the whole cage which would be a pain, is just paint the bars that you are adding. im pretty sure ive seen rattle can that paint shops can make that they can match to your existing color. that might be able to save you a few bucks. not sure though, as ive never really looked into it.

i think im gona just spry the whole car with pink, orange, and green marking paint just for u kuri.

So is the Kit going to be black? also you are painting the under body of the car?
