What's it like there? i'm really looking forward to my arrival. The people on this forum seem like a group of pretty decent cats and it seems like it's a pretty tight crew, which is definitely a good start.
What is track usage like? are you only able to drift during events? im not a street drifter so i like to keep all of my shenanigans at the track. do they allow practice sessions or just free running? over here i am very used to going to the track any day i want at any time, as long as its not a Japanese holiday. i'm down to pay for track time, that is no big deal to me.
How are cops in the LV area? im hoping they arent giant douche bags. i havent been in the states for the past 6 years but to visit my parents once for like 30 days. I am from Cali where the cops like to get on people's cases about shit that doesnt really matter IMO.
Sorry if i sound like a newb, but im just trying to gauge what im getting myself into, lol.

Man.... I am covered in bondo dust... and Itching... Im gonna make it really simple so I can shower lol... Cops = pretty cool to us, drive a honda? VIPERS on your ass... Track times = VD's got it once a month now  As far as renting, I know you can at Willow springs fairly cheap but its in cali People = I think most of us have been friends a LONNNNG time. Done some crazy shit together and unlike other groups rarely do any of us have falling outs... Theres alot of people here in Vegas that are definately COOOOL ppls... I think EVERYONE on VD is an amazing person of their own... IM SERIOUS... If you have ANYTHING you have questions about... One of us on here would have more than enough answers for you, from women to cars and airconditioning to big black dildo's smackin you upside the head. Its a very mixed crowd on this site, and I think I speak for everyone on here... Were all pretty damn good friends. For instance, Im bored and have to finish my 1/4 panel... i called 2 people I barely really know because they seemed like they would fit in with us pretty well, and they came over and helped me organize my garage and do the bodywork on the 14... Nick and all the mods on this site are cool here and in person. IF YOU EVER NEED HELP OR WHATEVER JUST ASK.. VD GUYS ARE GOOD PPPLS... and this REALLY WASNT QUICK... F*CK... *scratches neck, arms and face* someone else speak lol |

definitely tops my list of enjoyable things lol awesome, im definitely gonna need some knowledgeable people when i starting doing internal motor work. i feel like im the go-to guy around here and i dont even know that much. how is housing there? where would be a good place to look? i have this feeling that base housing is going to be full-up and if i have to live off base id prefer not to live in the ghetto. thanks for the info so far |

you should talk to yao.... he was AF and we lived together with a cpl of our friends...
Housing is cool, summerlin is a good place, henderson IS FAR AS FUCK, and north lv like i-95 and ann or 95 and durango... ARE SUPER FAR TOO...
Id say summerlin or central... Everyone now lives in the sw part of town.. Well majority of us do. CFINCH is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and is a pretty cool guy, DDS/Kyle is also and is also a pretty good guy.
When you get here you'll see vegas isnt that bad... And you shall always have someone to ask.

i have to report by the 30th of July, but if i can get the fuck out of here some time in June i may be able to settle in real quick and make it to Formula D on the 11th of July. i just got my assignment so i dont have a sponsor yet. what i would ultimately like to do is live off base in a nice area and use the money that the AF would give me for rent to instead pay off a note on a house. i should have more details in the coming months. but ill take any info i can get summerlin is ok theres plenty im sure you would want to stay close to base ?
its not totally necessary to be honest with you. i dont mind making a drive to work. someone today was telling me that the base is near the "ghetto" area but i dont know how much truth to put into his words |

NELLIS AIRFORCE BASE IS IN THE FUCKING REGOT DAMN GHETTO... lOl Do this, googlemap this intersection. Cheyenne and Nellis in Las vegas.... Now use googlemap's street view and just "drive" up either one of those... or even better lake mead and belmont... Cruise up belmont... Thats the area the base is on lmao- I grew up there... |

i was looking on Craigslist and it seems that housing in Vegas is pretty cheap. did the market crash with the "downfall" of the economy? it seems as if they are selling a lot of houses for really cheap out there. there were a lot of listings for nice houses at a decent price. also, i looked up Summerlin on google maps and it doesn't look like its too far from the base, but im basing that on what i see on the internet. about how long of a drive would you say that is to the base? my wife has never lived in the states so i am not too keen on her first culture shock being a home invasion, lol. plus we just had a baby girl about 3 1/2 months ago. with that said, im about to go do some street viewing  |

Um its about 10 minutes NO TRAFFIC to about 30-45 with traffic depending on the way and HOW BAD of traffic lol... Sometimes theres non stop traffic out here and 2 hrs later (20 ft) Someone has a flat... or Naked cracked on the freeway or somethin lol As far as the home invasions go, Nothing to really stop that but pick a semi decent area and I guess get dogs?? I have firearms, and I can shoot fairly well. My wife has a firearm... And she's sick with it lol! Home invasion is something I worry about too since My daughter is 2 yrs old... Its a pretty scary thing when you have a kid.... Things you NEVER THOUGHT OF before... Are your worst fears today. (Congrats on the baby girl) Hope ur a good guy if you know what I mean... God knows I WASNT  |

i have dogs but they are pussies lol. more than likely i will obtain some form of firearm if i can get out to a range and get some practice in. as far as housing goes i guess ill just have to scope it out when i get there. i have never bought a house or anything before, im only 24 and inexperienced in life, so all of this will be new to me. i'm trying to make the best of the assignment and live it up the best i can while im there. Hope ur a good guy if you know what I mean... God knows I WASNT some, if not most, would probably tell you that im a douche bag.....but they all suck anyways, HAHA! i was really cool with all of the guys into cars, but people at work dont like me so much because i tell them what they should be told instead of pussy footin' around shit. Yes, and as far as noobs... Everyones a newbie man... As far as track etiquette everyone will help you out when your there especially at the mandatory drivers meeting... Ill hopefully be on the track my 1st time here next month... Ive done plenty of behind dealerships and walmart driving yrs ago... Just never liked it and the events were few and far between, now I am excited because of the monthly schedules now I can build a car and not sit in it wishing I had somewhere to go again lol. |

yo man. housing market is cheap as shit. got my house 190k brand new 4 bedroom 3 bath 2 car garage and its down to 160k now within a year =/ . but yah i'd say you'd want to shoot for anything west of Losee and Craig Rd. Dont live next to walmarts and Targets. you'll be fine.
and im a pretty big noob on the track..but i keep goin. and its a drift event/practice, so all drivers all welcome. We have first timers to pro drivers.
i was AF for 4 years as a 2e2x1. Networking and Crypto. so if you have any nellis questions just PM me.
p.s. Every US base is around a ghetto, because puttin a fucking airstrip near housing drops the areas value by 2398432%
