Pictures as promised.  Decided to try imageshack for the picture provide now since my photobucket bandwidth is getting a bit overrun and I don't want my pics to go down.

Clearanced the bump stops.

Making a gusset

Comparison to old tie rods

Locktite for longevity.

Afterwards Cheesy

Going on the dyno

Got dark early... made us have to break down and fabricate some headlights on the fly

The BC Cams I got were horribly off (22ish degrees or so). Kyle had to rotate it one full tooth on the stock cam gear to get it somewhat happy. The one cam is still off about 8 degrees according to the dial gage. Should pick up my old torque and some more power with the same boost once that gets smoothed out.

Made 335HP 360 TQ (corrected) which carries up to redline. I will post the dyno once I get ahold of a scanner tomorrow so you can all see the difference in gains and losses.

Actually, the cams were still both off by ~10 degrees. Retarded (no pun intended) if I recall, but my notes are downstairs.... Originally the intake cam was fairly close, but the exhaust cam was 32 degrees off when installed to the marks on the chain. Quickly advancing the exhaust cam one full tooth made the overlap right (~10deg @ 0.050") but the events and lobe centerlines are occurring too late. Too bad the event is so close or I'd have drilled those suckers out. Been doing some research and this is a common problem (feature?) of Crower's cams....

All in all, this car is now WORTHY!!!! Here we come ProAm!!!

yah i was readin on the net that Crower cams were hit or miss. Most of the times no one had problems. but sometimes there is a bad batch. The reason i stuck to HKS. Good luck with all that tho. and have a good event tomorrow

Thanks all.

Yeah the cam grinds relative to each lobe are good it seems. just the peg in the cam gear is bad.

So the competition was great even though I didn't get to compete. I apparently managed the fastest logged entry speed at 70mph!!! Pretty awesome even if I didn't get to compete.

In short my oil filter came off during a slide, my crew fixed it, then the oil dipstick tube blew out, spitting more oil out, crew then fixed that.

But the final blow was when my Tial MvS Wastegate decided to separate the top half on the track and leave me boost-less. The VD staff managed to find the top half for me but the spring and screws are long gone. I will have pictures in a couple days. Gonna take a break for a bit.

Everything seperates or blows up on Daves car...

I could start a list of shitty shit... And I couldnt finish it..

SHITTY SHIT HAPPENS TO DAVE 101:

1. Hood flies up.
2. Runs outa gas
3. Gets dark outside with no headlights.
4. Got a rash
5. Oil filter flies off
6. Wastegate seperates.
7. Another rash
8.... Im sure you guys could add like 5000 more things.. So I'll let you finish.

He is an engineer with some horrible luck on the dumbest things lol...

But I wanna see a video of you Dave! I heard you were TEARING it up out there!!!

Alright so I have contacted Tial. Sent a few e-mail back and forth. They have great customer service and very quick responses.  I am sending in my wastegate to be inspected. We will see how this goes.
