I see the base plates are welded in how did you guys get the hoop down to weld the tops of the cage? Was there enough clearance to slide it forward to drop it down?

The cage work is looking pretty good... If you put any kind of rubber or silicone anywhere for vibration then your a fucking pussy!
I agree. Why the hell would you do that?

I agree. Why the hell would you do that? uh yeah, with the amount of vibration coming from "other stuff" that would be the last little rattle id worry about. lol and chris, with the plates welded in first, there was just enough room to slide it all down and weld it luckily i had thought about it beforehand as usual, this looks way better in person. we are gonna hustle to get everything hooked back up and be at the pre-tech on thurs

Yes, there is just enough room so that the back can slide off the shelf and the front from the base plates. Although on this particular cage the bar above the windshield was done after all of that, which was a pain welding. 75% could be MIG welded but the top 1/4 had to be TIG'd.

Just ordered an ebay steering hub adapter and an rb26 bell housing from a guy on zilvia. Stay tuned for more hybrid awesomeness.
Again big thanks to all my friends who give me help, labor, ideas and advice: Kyle (DDS), Josh (mysrhatesme), Jordan (largest mexican), Chris (ihatecfinch), Cody, Devin, Manny (TruSlyde) and all the rest of you for your complements and inputs.

Thanks, speaking of colors... I have been debating colors. I am thinking a lighter blue than this something like an electric blue with some radiation green accents... this was a quick photoshop on a vette... but you gety the idea... I need suggestions on color schemes. Colors I am contemplating: BRIGHT blue, yellow, orange, and green. Give me your ideas please!

Woohoo... decided on a Grabber Blue for the exterior. It should definitely liven up the old dirty white. Stay tuned hopefully the prep and paint will all be done tonight. Yay for race paint. 10min flash point primer/sealer and fast reducer 1 stage FTW.
