So turns out there was a breakthrough and I was able to drive the car out to the track. After waiting some time we were able to quickly put a rough tune on it and make a few runs before closing time.
Overall it was a Great Day.
Things I Came I feel I need to Tweak/Fix
-I definitely need more wheel time to get used to the huge jump in power
-Transmission is leaking a little fluid but I already have a fix in the works for that.
-Hydro e-brake flexes the transmission tunnel about 1" when you pull on it (must fix)
-Brake firewall area needs reinforcement (pedal flexes the firewall when you depress hard and it irritates me)
-Could use some more steering angle and an "on-center" steering wheel
Hopefully I will clear these all up soon.
let us know how the megasquirt works out and how hard was it to assemple, im thinking of going this route in my car
Depending on how extensive you decide to make your megasquirt build really determines how hard it is to assemble. The difficulty of my setup is rated a 9-10 out of 10 by most people on the MS forums due to the conversion from distributor to wasted spark 60KV coilpacks with a custom fabricated CAS. Machining a housing for a different IACV, and swapping all the sensors to different ones of my choosing.
Pm me about what car you have and what you want to do with it and I will help you figure out if megasquirt is the right way to go.
