this happened near my house (one of my temporary employees told me about this because it happened next door to the place she's staying at)-

Homeowner Kills Intruder

For the second time in three days a home invasion suspect has been shot and killed by a Las Vegas homeowner.

Police say that around 2 a.m. Saturday two armed suspects broke into a house near Durango and Grand Teton in Northwest Las Vegas.

One of the suspects grabbed a 13-year-old boy. The noise alerted his father who grabbed a handgun and waited for the suspects to make their appearance.

Police say the suspect released the boy and walked toward the room where the man was poised with his weapon. The father then jumped out and shot the suspect once in the chest, killing him.

The other suspect fled and remains at large.

justifiable homicide. only reason why my .45 has two clips locked and loaded.....i would do the same protecting mine. always be aware everyone!

LAID OUT

« Reply #6 on: November 16, 2009, 12:27:36 PM »

Good. If this shit happened more often then these low life cocksuckers wouldn't be trying to do this invasion bullshit in the first place. The only reason they feel secure breaking into other people's houses, garages, storage spaces, etc is because they are under the impression they won't get laid the fuck out for it... Which is the unfortunate truth these days, most homeowners are too busy praying to their imaginary friends and dialing the cops instead of taking responsibility and handling their own problems...

I'm all for neighborhood vengence.

Ace was this in "the neighborhood" or outside? Edit - oh those apartments or whatever to the E of the lodge?

I agree 100%.

I have dogs. Big dogs. For the reason that the burglars don't want to rob a house with dogs. They usually look for an easy target. I live in track homes but if i didn't I would have a NRA sign in the front yard and 1000 watt flood lights in the back yard.

I heard that the guy might actually have charges against him. WTF? I know if this was Cali he would be in jail and in Texas he would of already gotten a medal. Fuck Liberal states.

Fuck yeah Ace I got the Shotgun loaded ready to fire at any fucks who wanna come on my land and steal my shit.

different story-

Homeowner kills "alleged" intruder

A homeowner takes matters into his own hands and confronts a burglar who broke in. News 3's Anita Roman reports that the incident near Cheyenne and Lamb had a deadly outcome as police confirm that the man who broke into the home was shot and killed.

Police were called to the 4600 block of Crystal Peak Avenue around 4:30 pm Sunday evening. When officers arrived, the owner of the residence told them that someone had just broken into the house and that the intruder was dead.

Police confirm that the homeowner shot and killed the burglar.

"(The owner) was confronted by a subject that was burglarizing that residence," says Metro Police Lieutenant Lew Roberts. "That subject was inside that house either when the resident returned home and entered his residence or was inside. The suspect is deceased."

Neighbors who live nearby say whatever the case may be, the home owner had a right to protect himself and his property.

"If these burglars were actually watching him and trying to figure out what he's got in his house, maybe it was somebody he did know or somebody he had over that didn't give the person the right to break in to violate his personal space," says neighbor Anya Perez. "His home is where his domain is and the homeowner has every right to protect it."

The homeowner was taken into custody and is being questioned by police.

The burglar is only being described as a white male. Police have not released his identity. They are also looking into whether or not the two men may have known one another.
